Is your school prepared for an emergency?

Recent events have state legislators trying to make schools more safe and secure. Many of the new and proposed laws focus on making sure that schools have accurate floor plans on file and accessible to first responders. For newly built schools, the floor plans are probably ready for compliance with the new legislation. But, for older schools, the plans on file often do not include changes that have been made to the buildings.

School Security Is in the News

The recent shooting violence at Northern Illinois University highlights a growing problem for school administrators and security departments as well as an increasing safety concern for parents. While this follows similar events at Louisiana Technical College, Delaware State University and Virginia Tech, there is no pattern that would help prevent these kinds of violent acts. The best that administrators can do is prepare for all emergencies.

The Lausche Project was completed January 15, 2008

Lauche BuildingCritical Response Solutions developed Evacuation Maps for the State of Ohio Office Building, which is also known as the Lauche Building. This building consist of 458,000 square feet, and (14) floors, with approximately 1,350 people occupying the building.
